Holiday Shops: October Is Launch Month

September was about pitching early: auditing accounts, building shops proactively, and getting ahead of the holiday conversation.

October is about launching those shops.

Your clients are starting to make real decisions around employee gifts, team gear, and customer appreciation. Budgets are getting set. Someone in HR is asking who’s handling gifts this year. This is the month to make sure every holiday shop is ready to share.

A built shop isn’t a launched shop

A holiday shop sitting in your account doesn’t earn anything yet. It earns when your client shares it and their people start ordering. The gap between those two moments is usually small: designs that still look like the everyday company store, a client who isn’t sure how to announce it, or a gifting question nobody has asked yet.

October is for closing that gap.

Three ways to launch holiday shops in October

1. Launch holiday designs

A shop with your client’s everyday logo is a company store. Put that logo into seasonal artwork and it becomes a holiday shop, something people want to open this week.

Use the Holiday Design Generator to turn your client’s logo and brand colors into holiday-ready artwork in a few clicks. The art department doesn’t need to get involved and there are no proof rounds to wait on.

Where to start: the shops you built in September. After that, look at every active client store that could use a seasonal refresh, including company stores, school shops, and team stores. A client seeing their own brand in holiday colors is the fastest way to get a yes.

2. Open the gifting conversation

Most clients don’t think of themselves as running a holiday program. They think, “We need to do something for the team this year.” Your job in October is to make that something easy.

Corporate clients planning employee gifts. Lead with gift codes, not products. The client sets a gift value and each person gets a code. They shop the company’s branded store, pick what they actually want in their size, and it ships to their home. The client gets a fixed budget with no size-guessing, no leftover boxes, and nothing for HR to hand out. You request gift codes from the Marketing tab in your MOQ1 account.

Clients who thank their customers. The model works the same way for a different audience. Instead of a box of guesses, their customers choose their own gift and it ships straight to them.

Schools and teams. Winter sports, holiday spirit wear, and families shopping for gifts all land in the same stretch of the year. A holiday shop gives parents one link to order from. Nobody has to collect order forms or chase payments.

One question opens all of these conversations: “Who are you planning to take care of this year?” The answer tells you which shop to launch.

3. Launch assets with every shop

The shop link is only half the launch. Your client still has to tell their people about it. If that’s left to them, it might end up as one line at the bottom of a Friday email, or it might not happen at all.

Hand them the announcement instead. Use the Holiday Shop Flyer to create a branded, ready-to-share flyer your client can send to employees, customers, or their entire team. They can email it, post it in Teams or Slack, or print it for the break room. It’s one thing to forward and nothing to write.

Send it with a short note from you:

Your holiday shop is ready. Here’s a flyer you can share with your team – everyone picks what they want in their size, and it ships straight to them.

Why launching in October pays off

A holiday shop launched in October has the whole season to work. Early planners order in October, gift buyers in November, last-minute shoppers in December. There are no minimums to hit and no inventory to manage, so the shop just stays open. People order when they’re ready, production runs 1–2 days, and you earn on every order while you move on to the next client.

A strong holiday shop also sets up your easiest January conversation: keep it open.

Your October checklist

  • Every shop built in September has holiday designs
  • Every corporate client has heard about gift codes
  • Every school and team client has a holiday shop link
  • Every launched shop goes out with a flyer

October goal: get launch assets out with every shop.
